Opening October 2nd at Georgie's Alibi Azul, Paul Mackey performs highlights from the three major performance periods of Peter Allen's life-the music he wrote and performed for the women in his life (Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli), his extensive pop music hits, and the songs and theatre productions he penned for Broadway  stages across the world. The average person may not know the name Peter Allen, though chances are he or she has heard his music. He's the musical master behind hit songs of the 1970's and 1980's, "I Honestly Love You" performed by Olivia Newton- John, "Don't Cry Out Loud" sung by Melissa Manchester, "Arthur's Theme" for Christopher Cross and more.

Singer and dancer Paul Mackey takes the audience through the night celebrating the showmanship and contribution to musical theatre and pop music of Peter Allen.

Peter Allen started in show business in his native Australia as par of the "The Allen Brothers," a popular cabaret and television act in the 1960s. Allen was discovered by Judy Garland's husband, Mark Herron, and was invited to perform with Garland. Allen could still be seen on stage. He was the first male dancer to dance with the Rockettes and rode a camel into Radio City Music Hall.
